As homeschool moms we often look back on our week and reflect on all of the things we didn’t do.
We didn’t finish that math lesson.
We didn’t get to the spelling test.
We still haven’t read that geography book.
The list goes on and on.
Try to shift the habit to reflect on all of the things you DID do.
Did you take nature walks? Listen to Shakespeare on the drive to the grocery store? Bake cookies together or sing hymns as you cleaned?
What did you fit into the cracks of your day? That is often where your children are doing the most learning. In the little parts of the day that we ignore because it’s not bookwork.
Don’t confine your definition of homeschool success to how many workbook pages you completed that week. Take a step back and appreciate how much life you get to live together.
