Real food takes time. Don’t expect to get in the kitchen at 4:30 and have a hot meal, cooked from scratch, on the table by 5. Unless you’ve prepared in advance, that’s not going to happen.
My two best tips for getting a homemade dinner on the table every night is to begin dinner prep early in the day and make extras when you can, then freeze them so you have your own version of convenience food when you need it.
