Thrift Your Way To A Unique Home

Get creative when you go to the thrift store. Think about your needs in your home and your skills. How can you take something in the second hand shop, that’s likely sold at an affordable price, and make it work to fill a need?

I recently purchased a red and black plaid, flat bed sheet. It will make the perfect material for reusable gift bags for Christmas. Another flat, cotton flannel sheet I found will be cut into pillow cases for the couch and cloth napkins.

Brass candlesticks are paired with small lampshades and rechargeable light bulbs to make a tiny, custom lamp. Small glass plates get placed under candles to catch dripping wax. Quality frames can be painted or stained to match your decor and hold beautiful prints or family photos at a fraction of the cost.

Get creative, have fun and thrift your way to a unique home!
