Spring has sprung here in the midwest (well, kind of….). And with it our little baby is slowly turning into a toddler. Yikes! So that means I’ve been making sure I’m completely stocked up on my favorite, no-fail baby-to-toddler products!
Baby Bear (our third child) turned one last month and it seems like overnight he went from a snuggly, crawling babe to a grinning, mischievous toddler!
The other day I caught him throwing his brothers’ toys into the trash and this morning he tried to color on our bills with a pen.
OY!
He’s keeping us busy, but luckily this is not my first rodeo. I’m no stranger to transitioning a baby into toddlerhood. Heck, after three kids I’ve pretty much got it down to a science.
Which means I’ve also made sure I have my favorite baby-to-toddler products on hand. You know the products that help me keep my sanity and make sure he’s safe and happy?!

MUST HAVE BABY-to-TODDLER PRODUCTS
Baby Walking Shoe-Socks
I really don’t know what these are officially called, I like to call them “slockers”….get it? Shoe + socks + slippers = slockers
The reason I love these non-slip shoes for baby is because they allow your baby to walk (almost) the same way he would in bare feet, but you don’t have to worry about him actually walking in bare feet in public.
It’s a win-win for everyone, and these bad boys are under $20!
I recommend getting baby’s actually size (or close to it) because if the shoe/sock is too big it will fall off. And by the time he outgrows it your baby will likely be stable enough for actual shoes.
Munchkin Nesting Suction Bowls
I think the transition from baby to toddler is hardest at the dinner table. Because baby isn’t quite old enough to feed himself without making a HUGE mess, but he’s craving that independence.
Enter- the suction bowl from Munchkin.
I use (and prefer) the suction bowls from Munchkin, but I also linked similar bowls that include lids!
Basically the bowl suctions to any flat, hard surface. This way your baby/toddler can feed himself and when he’s done he can’t throw the bowl on the floor. Or on the dog.
PurA Kiki- One bottle for life
I stumbled upon these incredible bottles from Pura one day in the grocery store. I was looking for yet another sippy cup and saw these on clearance.
These bottles form Pura are both stainless steel and dishwasher safe. And they keep liquids cool much longer than a plastic sippy cup.
Pura had the genius idea to create one bottle that will last for the life of the child.
This bottle has tops that can be easily changed out- a nipple for baby, a sippy top or straw for toddler, a wide mouth top for older kids. And Pura offers tons of different colors and sizes! There’s something for everyone- even the grown-ups!
All three of my kids have one and I switch out the top of the bottle based on each child’s needs.
Easy to use, easy to store, easy to wash. And to date- the only sippy cup my boys haven’t managed to destroy.
Bumbo High Chair
This high chair from Bumbo is another baby-to-toddler product that I love!! I’ve used the Bumbo high chair with all three of my boys.
The Bumbo high chair straps to the any chair, I don’t need a huge high chair taking up space.
I start using the Bumbo High Chair with my babies around 6 months (when they have full upper body control). This seat will easily accommodate your baby as he transitions to a toddler. And as they get even older/bigger you can take out the colored insert and use the chair as a booster.
The chair has safety straps and comes with a tray. Which is great with younger babies/toddlers who can’t reach the table yet.
The Bumbo high chair also travels easily – just unstrap it from your chair and take it along!
Oh, I almost forgot the best part….they’re super easy to clean! I wipe these bad boys down after every meal.. And about once a month I take them apart for a quick soak in the tub.
The Bumbo high chair is well worth the money for the use you’ll get out of it, especially if you plan to have more than one child.
Munchkin Snack Cups
These snack cups from Munchkin are great for snacking on the go. You put the snack in the cup, put the top on, and the flexible opening allows baby to easily munch without help.
They’re (almost) mess-free and easy for baby to use.
You will find many versions of this snack cup in stores, but the snack cup from Munchkin is by far the best. Believe me I’ve tried them all.
The problem with the other brands is the top is too stiff, so baby can’t easily manipulate it to get his hand in and back out with a snack.
The Munchkin top is stiff enough to keep the snacks in but flexible enough for baby to easily get his hand in and out. Trust me, all of that is very important!
A few more baby-to-toddler products
I’ve gathered just a few more baby-to-toddler products that I’m using right now. These five didn’t make the top cut because I haven’t found them to be successful with every child. But I still use and love them and would recommend your try them if the product seems like it could be a good fit.
I love putting baby to sleep in this lightweight sleep sack from Halo.
Our middle son (2.5 years) loves falling asleep to this precious Scout bear singing to him, we bought our younger son (1yo) the same bear but it terrifies him, I honestly don’t know why.
We’ve been using these awesome cloth diapers since Baby Bear was born and I’m loving that as he grow I can easily adjust his diapers. No more wasting diapers that he grew out of too fast or rushing to Target to get a bigger size. They easily size up with him as he grows!
Baby Bear loves going for walks in his ride tricycle, we still use the stroller a lot too but sometimes he rides in this and it makes him feel like one of the big boys!
(I couldn’t find the one we have, probably because it’s six years old, but I linked some very similar options.)
And I would be remiss if I didn’t say that we have been using baby gates and baby locks like our lives depend on it.
Our newest toddler is into everything, and since we already had a toddler in the house we’re seeing double with all the messes they make. I’ve linked two of my favorite baby gates below- both are used for different areas of the house and both make my life soooooo much easier!
Transitioning from baby to toddler is whole lot simpler when you have the right baby-to-toddler products on hand! Let me know which ones work the best for you!
